This is a blog dedicated to the unexpected adventures (and some expected I suppose...) of a teenage girl stuck in the suburbs, her closet, and the things that inspire her.
"If there's any kind of magic in this world... it must be in the attempt of understanding someone, sharing something. I know it's almost impossible to succeed... but who cares, really? The answer must be in the attempt."
Hi folks... I know I haven't updated in a long, long, longgggggggggggggggg, long time! But, as my first college quarter as well as the year of 2013 comes to a close, I just wanted to say that 2013 has been an amazing year - full of friends, adventures, and new experiences. Here's hoping 2014 will be just as amazing.
One Sunday, my two best friends and I decided to head up to Santa Cruz to go swimming in the ocean and freeze our butts off. We only lasted about 3 minutes (and wearing wetsuits!!!) before heading out of the water. We had a cute little picnic and explored the beach. Davenport Beach is a great gem compared to all of the crowded state beaches in the area. It was definitely a fun time with good company.
After that, we decided to go get some kick ass ice cream at a well known place, Marianne's Ice Cream. With all the flavors, I got a bit overwhelmed, but decided to get the salted caramel on a homemade waffle cone, while my friends opted for lavender and strawberries and cream. Go get some if you are in the area, it's a must-have.
Besides having an hour detour on the freeway, it was a good day. I love California.
